Nervous systems can be an area where we don’t really get enough exposure to.
This is why it’s so important to understand what you’re dealing with.
So here are some of our favorite clips from the last few years of Nerv, which was originally created to help kids understand what’s going on in their nervous system.
We have to keep in mind that this is a young person’s experience, and it’s a good idea to watch these clips in the context of the rest of the episode to get a better sense of how it works.
There are some subtle changes, too.
The Nerv website shows how different muscles of the body respond to certain stimuli, but it’s not always as clear cut as you might think.
Take the “feel” for example.
If you get a tickle, it might feel like your entire nervous system is on fire.
But if you get it too hard, the tickle might feel really mild.
It’s like you’re just tickling your skin and it might not feel that bad at all.
The same goes for pressure.
When you have to get up and go, the muscles in your legs might feel a bit sore.
But when you feel a little pressure, you might feel it’s kind of like you’ve been tickled.
This all depends on the nerves that are involved.
The more you learn about your nervous system and how it responds to things, the more you’ll understand what to expect from this episode.
