FOX NEWS — A video has surfaced showing a young man being restrained by his hands in a cage in New York City.
The video, which was shot by a bystander and posted on YouTube on Sunday, shows a man in the middle of the street, holding his arms out in front of him and his hands outstretched.
The man then turns around to face a police officer and begins yelling.
The man begins to shout, “My hands are going to get cut off!”
A woman who was with the man is heard in the video screaming, “Please don’t cut them off!”
The man starts to scream again, “Don’t cut my hands off!”
The man is then seen being dragged by his arms.
He is then placed in handcuffs and put in a chokehold, with a police lieutenant holding his legs apart and the other officer in the back of the van pulling the man’s hands behind his back.
The woman filming the incident yells, “You’re hurting me, man, you’re hurting my heart!”
In the video, a police sergeant is heard telling the man, “If I cut your hand off, you’ll get another five years for this!”
The video then shows the man being removed from the van and handcuffed.
As he is being taken away, the woman filming him says, “It hurts my feelings.
It hurts my soul.”
Another woman can be heard screaming, “…
I feel like a piece of meat!”
The officer tells the man that he is not a piece and that he should be happy he has been arrested.
The incident was caught on video, and the video has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
